Your Insurance Agent Does Not Pay You

I sue insurance companies to get people the money they deserve. To watch all the insurance agency commercials, you might wonder why such a job exists.  Those agents look so nice and helpful on TV.

I have a job because those agents are not the ones who pay you after a disaster.  The claims adjusters who authorize those payments are actually trying to pay you as little as possible. In many cases, they make more if they can find a way to pay you less.  What stops them? A good lawyer representing you to hold them accountable and make them pay up.

Here is the real problem on the Gulf Coast. We can have bad weather and that weather can cause a lot of damage. Insurance companies then get hit with a lot of claims and some turn to shorting their customers. In the business, this is called bad faith practices.

Here is what I have seen from my clients and our fights with insurance companies.

Number one is the insurance company just flat denies the claim despite evidence of coverage and damage. Really, this gives “just say no” a new meaning.

The next reason people come to me is that the insurance company will just not write the check. The evidence is clear but the check is mysteriously absent. This also falls into the “delay by documents” tactic where they just ask for more and more paperwork. Meanwhile, the insurance company gets to keep the money.

To stop this you need a good lawyer. As they say, “We’ve seen a thing or two.”
