This is my home, Mobile, I was born and raised here. To know me, you have to know my family, in particular my parents.
Allen’s parents are about to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary. They are the biggest influence on Allen’s life. They were Depression Era folks, so they understand hard work and making the most of what you have. In 1982, Allen began talking to recruiters to join the military. That same year, Allen became sick and lost almost 60 pounds in two weeks. The doctor came in, told Allen to blow his breath in his face, and told him he had diabetes. So Allen chose college and eventually law school instead, where he made his greatest accomplishment in meeting his wife and love of his life Melissa while there, and married in 1989.
